Proof of concept
The Proof of Concept (PoC) will be conducted in a crowded environment that offers favorable conditions for the rapid collection of significant data thanks to the number and mobility of the users involved. The PoC will demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed solutions and will serve as a prototype for the integration of networks and services in contexts with digital divide.
Participants in the PoC will be provided with a device with a BLE tracker. The delivery will not be tracked, making it impossible to associate the person with the “Bluetooth MAC address” of the device, in compliance with the GDPR (“privacy by design”): therefore, no personal data will be processed in the project.
A group of participants (the “most willing” or possibly all) will receive a device also equipped with an NFC tag, so that they can interact with the numerous NFC devices (readers) that will be applied to the wall in known positions of the building. By bringing the personal BLE+NFC device close to the NFC device on the wall, the system will know its exact position. In this way, the dataset that will be the basis of the artificial intelligence algorithms can be accurately built.
Prova concettuale
La Prova concettuale (PoC) sarà condotta in un ambiente affollato che offra condizioni favorevoli per la rapida raccolta di dati significativi grazie al numero e alla mobilità degli utenti coinvolti. La PoC dimostrerà la fattibilità delle soluzioni proposte e servirà da prototipo per l'integrazione di reti e servizi nei contesti con divario digitale.
I partecipanti alla PoC verranno dotati di un dispositivo con tracker BLE. Non sarà tracciata la consegna, rendendo impossibile associare la persona al “Bluetooth MAC address” del dispositivo, in conformità con il GDPR (“privacy by design”): quindi nel progetto non verranno trattati dati personali.
Un gruppo di partecipanti (quelli “più volenterosi” o eventualmente tutti) riceveranno un dispositivo dotato anche di tag NFC, in modo da poter interagire con i numerosi dispositivi NFC (reader) che saranno applicati a parete in posizioni note dell’edificio. Avvicinando il dispositivo BLE+NFC personale al dispositivo NFC a parete, il sistema ne conoscerà l’esatta posizione. In questo modo potrà essere accuratamente costruito il dataset alla base degli algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale.
